“ And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a
bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.”
Revelation 6:2
So right away, at
the first seal we are already talking about the rising up of the anti-Christ or
the office of the anti-Christ. How can we tell that this rider is the
anti-Christ? Well there is a line that gives him away; he is compared to
another white rider later on in Revelation.
“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who
sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes
war.” Revelation 19:11
Revelation 19 will
later describe this rider as the Word of God who we already know according to
John 1 is Jesus Christ. We will come back to Revelation 19 later on, but for
now just note that the white rider of Revelation 6:2 is not our Lord Jesus, but
he douse resemble Him in many ways. For starters he will ride a white horse, meaning
he will give the appearance of purity, it will seem like he is without sin or
will want people to believe he is without sin.
This rider wears a
crown, a symbol of authority. This crown, this authority will be given to him,
he is given authority which is not normally his. He will have a bow. This took
me a bit of extra research, but the Greek word used is toxon[i] which is a simple bow made with the simple material from the root
word tikto which means to produce in travail or laborious work. In other words
this rider will do hard work, which makes sense because he is going to want
people to exalt him. He is going to want the people to see his good works so
that they will glorify him. Through this hard work, and simple nature, the
people will glorify him. He will have a false humility, not as though he were
humbled by God but as though he humbled himself.
He will ride out conquering
and to conquer. Meaning he will get victory. Do not let this disturb you,
Revelation douse say that the beast of the sea will be given authority for a
time. In Revelation 6:2 he hasn’t gained that full authority yet, but he will
by the time of the time of the seventh trumpet in Revelation 11, and I will
discuss more of the beast at that time. For now it is my goal to share that I believe
that the first seal is the first rider preparing the way for the anti-Christ.
Before I discuss
some suspects as to who this first rider is in the world around us may be,
there are some other things of note in scripture that tell us more about the character
of this rider. Daniel 7 clarifies a bit
of who the beast is, and the horns of the beast. There will be ten horns, and
then another horn shall rise after them and subdue three other horns. It is this horn, who is on the beast and is a
part of the beast, that shall be given a mouth to speak blasphemies and the
saints shall be given into his hand. So the end times anti-Christ will be
unlike any that held the office before him, it is this horn that will unite the
world. “It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them.
And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.”Revelation
13:7
So that being said let’s
look at some potential suspects, people, principalities and powers who are
preparing the way for this rider or may very well be this rider.
LDS Jesus
On the surface the
LDS church appears to have all the right answers. They teach good family values,
that Jesus saved us from sin, that we must be humble before God, and that you
must allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in your day to day life. When you meet
a member of the LDS faith you will probably walk away with a generally good
impression of them. But the bible tells us to question every spirit.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits,
whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the
world. 2 By this you know the
Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the
flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that
does not confess that[a] Jesus Christ has come in
the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which
you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” 1 John
4:1-3
Now, you need to
know, so that you will not be deceived by the false teachings of this church
who they teach Jesus to be. According to LDS doctrine Jesus is the literal son
of God along with Satan all the angles and all of us here on earth.[ii] They believe that in the pre-life[iii] God had spirit children, his begotten son was Jesus. Satan and
Jesus both had a plan for salvation, the plan of Lucifer was to force everyone
to worship God, and the plan of Jesus was free will. God accepted the plan of
Jesus and rejected the plan of the devil. A third of Gods spirit children were
cast to the earth with Satan and became demons.
You need to know
all this so that when a Mormon tells you they follow the teachings of Jesus,
this is the Jesus of whom they speak. I have found nothing in the bible to
support this, and indeed even their own web site agrees that very little is
expressed in the bible to support this belief and that you have to look to the
Book of Mormon to understand the fullness of Gods plan.
Now, from what I
just shared it is easy to see how the Jesus of the LDS church looks a lot like
the Jesus of the bible. Do not be deceived, the bible says “In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 Jesus was with God and Jesus was God. Here is something
to ponder. If Jesus were not God, than it would be blasphemy to worship Him. If
Jesus were not God than Jesus would be an idol, He would be of man. If you
worship Jesus than you have to acknowledge that Jesus is God, not just the
offspring of God but the Creator of Heaven and Earth, Alpha and Omega,
Beginning and the End.
“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that
are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or
principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”
Colossians 1:16
There
is another danger to the LDS belief system, one that sounds pleasant to the
ears. They teach that there are three degrees of heaven; all people will go to
one of these three heavens with the exception of the sons of perdition.[iv] It is this plan that few go to hell, or in the LDS doctrine Outer
Darkness.
Why
is this belief important to the anti-Christ? There has been a movement in
religion, a belief that all paths lead to heaven. This is a feel good belief, a
love doctrine with absolutely no true biblical backing. In fact scripture tells
us the exact opposite.
““Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to
destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because[a] narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to
life, and there are few who find it.” Matthew 7:13-14
If there is life on
the broad path Jesus would have told us so. But instead He tells us that the
broad path leads to destruction. Mormons
aren’t the only ones teaching this by the way. Catholics, main stream Muslims, Judaism,
and many protestant faiths as well have begun to embrace this idea that God
will allow you as an un-repented sinner into the kingdom of heaven. This is all paving the way for the
anti-Christ to come in, it’s setting the stage for a one world religion in
which the Serpent and the Beast of the sea are the primary focus of worship.
There is much more
to be said about this movement, but I will talk about it more when I talk about
the Beast of Revelations. For now put this in the back of your mind so that you
will not be deceived when a false prophet tries to tell you about the broadness
of God’s love.
I will stop here
for now. When I started this part of the blog I did not realize how deep God
was going to take me. There is much more to be said about many other principalities
and powers. So the next blog will be part 2 of the white rider.
In the mean time be
strengthened, study Gods word and testing every spirit rightly dividing the
Word of Truth so that false prophets cannot deceive you.

The full show is on youtube in parts if you care to look for it.
I try not to use Glenn as a source because his reputation isn't exactly that of a sane or respectable source, however, I came across this line of research and the way it matches up perfectly in my study of Islam.

A few points of clarification, as you have oversimplified some concepts.
"{Now, from what I just shared it is easy to see how the Jesus of the LDS church looks a lot like the Jesus of the bible. Do not be deceived, the bible says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 Jesus was with God and Jesus was God. Here is something to ponder. If you worship Jesus than you have to acknowledge that Jesus is God, not just the offspring of God but the Creator of Heaven and Earth, Alpha and Omega, Beginning and the End.}"
Nothing in that contradicts the LDS belief system. We believe that the worlds were created by Jesus through the power of God, and that he was begotten, ie given a body of flesh and blood, with the power and potential of his Father, but mortality from his mother, a mortality that He alone could choose when it was time to enact. Jesus IS the Jehovah of the Old Testament, the creator, and the father of the Resurrection, because it was He that broke the bands of death.
It wasn't until the Nicene Creed convened by Emperor Constantine some 400 years after the death and resurrection of Christ that the idea of a Trinity was conceived, and even then, hotly debated with many of the greatest scholars of Christianity disagreeing. The Trinity has many problems itself, such as God appearing in multiple places simultaneously throughout the Bible.
Allow me to point out a recent ad campaign (ok, it's ten years old) from the Army, an Army of One. I never cared for it, but the concept was that the army, the organization, begins with the individual, submitting themselves to the whole, making it stronger through their individual strengths committed wholly to the cause. The same is how the LDS Godhead is envisioned, each member has a purpose that the others cannot fulfill, or could not fulfill as well as the designated member. They are one in purpose, function, and the ends they seek for humanity as a whole.
"{“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16}"
As I mentioned above, Jesus is the Jehovah of the OT, the creator of the world, the one all of the Prophets spoke of, and to. He retains the body of flesh as his heritage and reward for his service, just as all who are resurrected will be able to keep their bodies. We know he still has a physical form from the Book of Acts, where he appeared to the apostles repeatedly, ate and drank with them, and urged them, not just permitted them, to feel the prints in his hands and feet and the hole in his side from the Spear of Loginus. The Book of Moses from the Pearl of Great Price expounds on and confirms this, as does the Book of Abraham, which I can expound on at length (mostly because critics complain that the figures on it are merely standard funereal figures, which makes perfect sense when you're trying to tell a different tale with standardized hieroglyphic symbols, the arrangement is anything but typical)
"{There is another danger to the LDS belief system, one that sounds pleasant to the ears. They teach that there are three degrees of heaven; all people will go to one of these three heavens with the exception of the sons of perdition.[iv] It is this plan that few go to hell, or in the LDS doctrine Outer Darkness.}"
This is not techincally correct. First, prior to judgement is the Prison/Paradise arena, which corresponds exactly with both the Christian conception of Heaven and Hell, as well as the classical Jewish understanding of Sheol, the abode of the dead, in which all souls are deposited, essentially a parallel to Hades, the Greek home for departed spirits, with one exception. In Sheol, the "Bosom of Abraham" exists, a place, still very much in the same afterlife, but in the company of the prophets, the Patriarch, and the holy, separated by a wide flaming gulf from the Gentiles. Essentially, in Sheol, the only difference is the company you keep and the beliefs and life's works that allow you to reside in that company. Not so different from the Christian Heaven and Hell (excepting Purgatory which has no scriptural basis). After Judgement day, we are placed in degrees of Glory (see Corinthians 1:15, 39-41) based on our faithfulness, best expressed IMHO by James 2:17-18, ie a holy man will not say "I accepted Jesus, I'm saved" as the Protestants generally proclaim. He will live his life doing good, showing by faith that he follows his God and his God's commandments. In the movie Dogma, there is a scene where the demon Azrael is discussing hell, and he describes it as the absence of God, at least initially, and that is the "Hell" of the LDS faith, that those of the lower kingdom, will be stripped of any presence of God. This isn't a punishment per se, as many would mark it out to be, Nor is it because God is unable to be present in unclean places, it's a realm of his own creation, he can make it pure enough for himself if he wishes ; as the scriptures are also clear that a man standing before God in his sins would sooner be sunk in the depths of the sea, or have the mountains of the earth fall on him and cover him. It's a mercy for those who will not forsake their sins and repent that he will not push his presence upon them, forcing them to bear his presence in full knowledge of their unworthiness to be there. Thus the Hell of my faith is the willing removal of the self from God's presence, and the eternal ache of that absence, which the scriptures compare to a pit of fire, or fire and brimstone, raining sulfur or any of the other horrendous imagery it provides.
The Bible itself proclaims that denying Christ after having a witness of Him is the Unpardonable sin, this is the one that relegates one to Outer Darkness, as few people are capable in their hearts, minds, and souls to make that denial, the population there will be similarly small.
The other degrees of Glory, or Heavens are reserved for those of varying faithfulness, but there is only one Heaven when we refer to Heaven, and that is the Celestial Kingdom where you reside in the presence of God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost, where you've accepted Christ, forsaken and repented of ALL of your sins, and been accepted by him in turn.
A friend of mine described the process as such: You are in prison, screaming at the top of your lungs for release, proclaiming innocence, begging, crying, etc. Jesus walks along, to each and every soul and tells them a secret. Some of the prison cells are large, some are small, some are castles, or mansions, so large that there seems no end to them. But still Jesus walks up to every soul in it's cage, one by one, as individuals He knows us, and says, "Your prison has only 3 walls, let go of your bars, turn around, and walk out, I've already removed the wall, if you can just let go of your sins and walk away from them.
"{If there is life on the broad path Jesus would have told us so. But instead He tells us that the broad path leads to destruction.}" As it does, it leads to the absence of God as we are too ashamed of our lives to face him.
"{this idea that God will allow you as an un-repented sinner into the kingdom of heaven."}
This is not doctrine, nor is it ever taught in any form by any LDS person.
I've heard the Jesus/Satan brothers OMG thing before, usually from evangelical anti-mormon classes. I believe the issue with it is purely one of semantics. We believe that God created all. The angels in heaven including those that rebelled (as God did not create them evil, they chose to rebel), He created the souls that would become people Num 16:22, Eccl 12:7, Acts 17:28 Eph 1:4, Jude 1:6.
He has asked us to refer to him as Father, in prayer and thoughts, and if he is the father of us, why not all things? Therefore is there a reason you cannot call any two of His creations brothers? Jesus didn't say "Call me Daddy" he said love your brother/neighbor/etc etc. Jesus' Father is the father of us all, the one who spoke during J's baptism and on the Mount of Transfiguration saying "Behold my beloved SON in whom I am well pleased.
You claim the LDS Church is heretical for calling Jesus and Lucifer brothers, when we are calling ALL of God's creations, large and small brothers and/or sisters. The semantic and logical errors are yours, not the LDS Church's.
You stated that “we serve a different Jesus” when we serve the same Jesus that is in the Bible. You also stated that “we believe that everyone goes to heaven without having to repent” when in truth, we don’t. You also stated, which is disturbing to me that you believe that the LDS church is “paving the road for the antichrist” which is so far from the teachings of the LDS religion that it makes me think that you might be uneducated about the LDS religion.
I will pull out some scripture straight from the Book of Mormon and other books that we believe are true. Hopefully this will help you understand a little bit more about the LDS religion.
Articles of Faith 1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in his son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. Articles of Faith 2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression. Articles of Faith 3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. Articles of Faith 4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. Articles of Faith 5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof. Articles of Faith 6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth. Articles of Faith 7. We believe in the gift of Tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth. Articles of Faith 8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. Articles of Faith 9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that he will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Articles of Faith 10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built on the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory. Articles of Faith 11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may. Articles of Faith 12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. Articles of faith 13. We believe in being Honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul – we believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
With the Articles of Faith being set as part of our belief, I can already see contradictions in your blog about the LDS religion. I will continue to further this by pulling up more scripture from The Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants.
D&C 18:10 Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God; D&C 18:15 And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one should unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father! D&C 19:16-19 (16) For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent; (17) But if they would not repent they must suffer even as I; (18) Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all. To tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit – and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink – (19) Nevertheless, glory be to the Father, and I partook and finished my preparations unto the children of men. D&C 58:42 Behold, he who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more. D&C 130:20,21 (20) There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated – (21) And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated.
Okay now that you know a little bit more about the church let me begin to pick apart your blog. I will start off with how you said “the LDS Jesus is not the same as the Jesus that is in the Bible and how we worship the offspring of God and not acknowledge that he is God”.
In Heb.1:5-6 (5) For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? (6) And again, when he bringeth in the Firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. John 1:14 And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. D&C 110:4 I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father. Philip. 2:10-11 (10) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (11) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 2 Ne. 25:26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 3 Ne. 26:5 Christ was before the world began. Moses 4:2 But, behold, my beloved Son, which was my Beloved and Chosen from the beginning, said unto me – Father, thy will be done, and the glory be thine forever. John 5:22 The Father hath committed all judgment unto the Son. Rom. 2:16 God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ. Matt. 16:27 The Son of Man shall come in the glory of his Father. Hel. 14:12 Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the Father of heaven and Earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning. 3 Ne. 11:10-11 (10) Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world. (11) And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning. Mark 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
So you see that “We” the LDS church does worship Jesus as the Christ and acknowledge that he along with God and the Holy Ghost are One in meaning.
There are three separate persons in the Godhead: God, the Eternal Father; his Son, Jesus Christ; and the Holy Ghost. We believe in each of them (A of F 1:1). From latter-day revelation we learn that the Father and the Son have tangible bodies of flesh and bone and that the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit, without flesh and bone (D&C 130:22-23). These three persons are one in perfect unity and harmony of purpose and doctrine (John 17:21-23; 2 Ne. 31:21; 3 Ne. 11:27,36). God the Father is the supreme ruler of the universe. He is all powerful (Gen. 18:14; Alma 26:35; D&C 19:1-3) Is all Knowing (Matt. 6:8; 2 Ne. 2:24), and everywhere present through his Spirit (Ps. 139:7-12; D&C 88:7-13, 41). Mankind has a special relationship to God that sets man apart from all other created things: men and women are God’s spirit children (Ps. 82:6; 1 Jn. 3:1-3; D&C 20:17-18). The God known as Jehovah is the Son, Jesus Christ (Isa. 12:2; 43:11; 49:26; 1 Cor. 10:1-4; 1 Tim. 1:1; Rev. 1:8; 2 Ne. 22:2). Jesus works under the direction of the Father and is in complete harmony with him. All mankind are his brothers and sisters, for he is the eldest of the spirit children of Elohim. Some scripture references refer to him by the word God. For example, the scripture says that “God created the heaven and the earth” (Gen. 1:1), but it was actually Jesus who was the Creator under the direction of God the Father (John 1:1-3, 10, 14; Heb. 1:1-2). I am the Lord [Jehovah], and beside me there is no savior, Isa. 43:11 (Isa. 45:23). I am the light of the world, John 8:12 Before Abraham was, I am, John 8:58 The Lord shall minister among men in a tabernacle of clay, Mosiah 3:5-10. Abinadi explained how Christ is the Father and the Son, Mosiah 15:1-4 (Ether 3:14). The Holy Ghost is also a God and is called the Holy Spirit, the Spirit, and the Spirit of God, among other similar names and titles. With the aid of the Holy Ghost, man can know the will of God the Father and know that Jesus is the Christ (1 Cor. 12:3). The Holy Ghost will teach you what you should say, Luke 12:12. The Holy Ghost is the Comforter, John 14:26 (John 16:7-15). Jesus gave commandments to the Apostles through the Holy Ghost, Acts 1:2. The Holy Ghost bears witness of God and Christ, Acts 5:29-32 (1 Cor. 12:3). The Holy Ghost also is a witness to us, Heb. 10:10-17. By the power of the Holy Ghost you may know the truth of all things, Moro. 10:5 The Holy Ghost is the spirit of revelation, D&C 8:2-3 (D&C 68:4).
The 3 Degrees of Heaven. Differing kingdoms in heaven. At the final judgment, each person will be assigned to an eternal dwelling place in a specific kingdom of glory, except those who are sons of Perdition. Jesus Said, In my Father’s house are many Mansions, John 14:2. There is one glory of the sun, and another of the moon, and another of the stars, 1 Cor. 15:40-41,
Celestial Glory: Doctrine and covenants 137:7-10 Thus came the voice of the Lord unto me, saying: All who have died without a knowledge of this gospel, who would have received it if they had been permitted to tarry, shall be heirs of the celestial kingdom of God; (8)Also all that shall die henceforth without a knowledge of it, who would have received it with all their hearts, shall be heirs of that kingdom; (9) For I, the Lord, will judge all men according to their works, according to the desire of their hearts. 1 Cor. 15:40 The Glory of the celestial is one. 2 Cor. 12:2 Paul was caught up to the third heaven. D&C 131:1-4 (1) In the celestial glory there are three heavens or degrees; (2) And in order to obtain the highest, a man must enter into this order of the priesthood [meaning the new and everlasting covenant of marriage]; (3) And if he does not, he cannot obtain it. (4) He may enter into the other, but that is the end of his kingdom; he cannot have an increase.
Telestial Glory: The lowest of the three degrees of glory in which people will dwell after the final judgment. 1 cor. 15:40-41 Paul saw a glory of the stars, Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon saw the telestial glory, D&C 76:81-90, The inhabitants of the Telestial world were as innumerable as the stars, D&C 76:109-112. He who cannot abide the law of a telestial kingdom cannot abide a telestial glory, D&C 88:24, 31, 38.
Terrestrial Glory: The second of the three degrees of glory in which people will dwell after the final judgment. 1 cor. 15:40-41 Paul saw a terrestrial glory, likened to the glory of the moon. Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon saw the terrestrial glory, D&C 76:71-80. The glory of the terrestrial excels that of the Telestial, D&C 76:91, Those who cannot abide the law of a terrestrial kingdom cannot abide a terrestrial glory, D&C 88:23, 30, 38.
Satan the second son of God also brother to Jesus Christ: The devil is the enemy of righteousness and of those who seek to do the will of God. He is literally a spirit son of God and was at one time an angel in authority in the presence of God ISA. 14:12. However, he rebelled in the premortal life and persuaded a third part of the spirit children of the father to rebel with him Moses 4:1-4. They were cast out of heaven, were denied the opportunity of obtaining mortal bodies and experiencing mortal life, and will be eternally damned. Since the time the devil was cast out of heaven, he has sought constantly to deceive all men and women and lead them away from the work of God in order to make all mankind as miserable as he is Rev. 12:9, 2 Ne. 2:27; 9:8-9. Jesus Rebuked the Devil Matt. 17:18. Everlasting fire is prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt. 25:41. The devil is the author of all sin Hel. 6:26-31. The Devil will be Bound for a thousand Years D&C 88:110, Rev. 20:2.
Now pertaining to what you said about the LDS paving the way for the Antichrist: The LDS doctrine teaches us to walk with God, follow the Ten Commandments, seek after the truth and of other goodly things, to repent, to study scripture daily, to become baptized, to marry and treat each other with kindness, to seek after God instead of worldliness desires, to be careful of our thoughts and actions, be thankful, give testament to God, his Son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost, to prepare for the Second Coming, to keep the Sabbath Day holy, to be humble before God, to be Obedient to God and the laws of the land, and many others. None of this is paving the way for the antichrist.
2 Nephi 32:3 Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do. Jacob 2:18 But before ye seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God. Alma 34:32-34 do not procrastinate repentance. Mosiah 4:30 watch your thoughts, words and deeds. I can go on and on. Now you know more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. Hopefully you will not teach people the false things of our church but inform them of them of the truths that we practice. Also it wouldn’t hurt for you to study our doctrine before you call us out on so many things that are simply not true. I understand that you are trying to do the right thing and warn people about false prophets but you are going about this the wrong way. Have you ever tested the spirits of our church? I have and I have seen them outside of church, in their homes, and I have heard good things about them from community members that are not a part of the church. This only makes my testimony stronger. I have much more to add but I will do this at a later time. I wish you well and I will pray for you that hopefully you will get the answers that you are looking for. Remember that if you ask in prayer with real intent, with faith in Jesus, and being sincere, your prayer will be answered.
Gotta say I find it interesting when members of the LDS church try to persuade via a book or books the Original Poster doesn't believe in (hence why I didn't use it) When there's prenty in the Bible to use.
Also, Lando, I'm thinking that looks like the NIV Bible, While I'm not opposed to updating the language of the Bible, care must be used to not lose linguistic nuance that exists in older editions... Ideally we'd all be reading Greek and Hebrew, but I'm a bit rusty on my classical Greek. ;)
